My Investment for the Year 2012 -- Part 1 -- Running

December 29th, 2012 6:42 AM by Eric Fang

I started running Summer of 2011. And I run most
of the year 2012.

For the year of 2012, I completed 5 races.
3 10km, and 2 half Marathons. For each week,
I ran about 20 to 30 miles. Since I did not
keep a running log, I think I ran about
1250 miles for the whole year.

The main purpose for my running was not
to run fast, or take participate in the
races. The reason was very simple, to lose weight.
I reached my goal of 180lbs. I lost about 15 lbs
for the whole year.

For the year of 2013, I will do the following:
1)Run slowly. The main reason is that you can lose
weight by running slowly(not fast).

2)Keep a running log. Plan to complete 1450 miles
for the whole year.

3)Lose another 10 to 15 lbs. My ideal goal would be 165 lbs.

4)Will complete the following races:
1 10k Race
4-5 Half Marathon.
1 Marathon.

One lesson I learnt this was that I would get
injury if I run too fast. So if I run Marathon
this year, I would set up my goal of 5 hours

Staying heathy and running was my biggest investment
for the year of 2012.
