More Blogs During Tapering time?

I will not run too much during the tapering time. My this week's mileage
will be lower to around 50 miles.

I talked to one lender's underwriter Monday afternoon. The main topic
is losing weight. And she said that she planned to lose about 20 lbs, and
she tried for about a year and she did not see much improvement.

I shared her my story about losing 30 to 40 lbs in the last 5 years. Though
my running helped a lot, the diet is very important as well. And I told her
that the mental game is very important as well. Don't try to think about losing
20 lbs, and felt discouraged when you can not do it. Just make smaller wishes,
like 5 lbs for a year; then after 4 years, she can lose 20 lbs. 20 lbs for one
year looks like intimidating,  5 lbs should be easier. And also I told her
that she should setup a reward system, like purchase a cloth after losing 5 lbs(
smaller one, so then she will keep the weight if she likes the shirt).

We did similar thing when we do the weekend long run. I did a lot of 20 miles
run during the weekends this year. I never thought about running 20 miles.
It is just 4x 5 miles. I will run 5 miles first, then congratulate myself for finishing
the 5 miles. Then another 5 miles. This should seem very easy.  Then after 10 miles,
we would say that only 9 miles left; 8 miles left; and then 5 miles left. So it will be
very easy to work that way. And I do not have any problems to finish those hard
trainings.
