Nudge

October 12th, 2017 11:33 AM by Eric Fang

I am kind of proud of myself.  5 years ago, I started running marathons, and I lost weight from 205 lbs to 175 lbs now. And I qualified and ran Boston for 2017. And I will run New York Marathon this November and will work on qualifying Chicago for 2019. At least when I tried to do something, I can do it well(same as the loan business).

And recently I felt like suddenly I "can" read English books. I used to read 20 books per year, and now I can complete it fast, if I want to. And though there are some words I do not know, I would just guess it and let it go.

I simply set my goal of reading 20 pages per day. It worked great. I completed the book: "I am Malala" . This is the book recommended by my daughter, and we can exchange some ideas after the reading. And my wife said that she would read this book as well. And my daughter is reading the book I recommended: Hillbilly Elegy.

Starting today, I will read the book Nudge. I purchased this book a few years ago. And the Author Dr. Richard Thaler won Nobel Prize of Economics for 2017. It must be fun to read this book.

Also, I would set up my goal to PR on my marathon next year. It is exciting when you have goals, especially multiple goals, and when you can achieve it.
