Mortgage Blog

Now I got my business from this business and my clients'
referral. And one thing is for sure for the referral,
we have to make our clients happy.

Recently, I am doing a purchase loan for a client.
And she got my contacts info from her friends.
It drove her crazy that her selling agent asked
her to use the agent recommended loan originator.

I talked to my clients about this "realtor refer
loan agent" thing. The realtor took a risk by
"halfly-forcing" referral. Since my clients was
not happy about it, she will not refer the agent
to her friends any more. I don't know whether the
agent realize that she lost a potential referral.
And is it that important her client has to use
that agent?

Normally, I don't refer realtors to my clients
unless my clients request me to do so.
If I do, those realtors are also top 1% ones.
Still it's hard to make the deal all the time, very
complicated.

I can only guarantee my commitment to my clients,
but I can no guarantee my referrals do the same
thing. If my referrals made my clients unhappy,
I will lose this client's trust as well.

So we only refer when we know that it will benefit my clients.
