According to Fannie Mae guideline, you will have to wait for 6 months for refinance(to get conventional loans; HELOC is different story). I have a few clients asked this question because of the difficulty to get the loans for various reasons. But we still have to follow this guideline for all wholesale loans. Some retail lenders or portofolio lenders may have exceptions, but the rate may be a little bit higher.
