Keep Trying(Oct 6th, 2017)

I am still reading "I am Malala" today. Just finished the page 79. It was about the speech competition she prepared at middle school, and still lost, second to her best friend Moniba. And she said that even if you won 3 or 4 times, the next victory will not necessarily be yours without trying. Yes, that's true. And she quoted the words Lincoln sent to his son in a letter: Teach him how to gracefully lose.

Sometimes when I read something, I would think whether those words apply to me, or how I can learn from it. Since I do not compete in my running, and I run my business myself. The only I competed was to win a client's business. And though it was hard when a client told me that he/she chose another agent, and I always said that it would be good as long as he/she can get a good rate. Maybe I am a good person as well, right?

Sold some shares of KBH today, since I already unloaded JPM, BAC a few days ago, now I have 25% of the portfolio as cash. It does not matter which direction the stock market will go, I think I am pretty safe. Besides, I am try to convert them to SP 500 Index funds any way.

I will pace my friend for a half marathon this friend. And I can not believe New York Marathon is only 4 weeks away. I think I am ready, though I still need to finish two 16 miles long run.
