Why would I do that?

I registered 10 loans last night, and worked after 12am. Then I talked to myself, why should I do that? I can have a rest earlier and have the work done Friday. By the way, I was not able to lock the rate today since the rate went up.

So I talked to some of my borrowers, we agreed to start the processing of the loans, but keep the rate floating. Right now, the lenders requested us to lock 45 or more days, and we could not get good rate because of that. But if the rate goes lower, and we already submitted the loan, have the appraisal ordered, then we might need to lock for 30 days only.

And I was shamed about myself as well. I missed my running yesterday for 12 miles, for the reason I needed to work on the loans. I remembered the old days when I worked 16 hours a day on the loans, gained a lot of weight. And I do not want to go through that again. Besides, I am about a few years older now.

So I think I should be greedy on the working, just keep my regular schedules etc, so I can balance my life and work. So I booked the hotel and air tickets for Portland Marathon in Oct. And it will keep reminding myself to train hard.
