Holiday Reading

November 20th, 2013 10:38 AM by Eric Fang

Time flies and it is holiday season again.
The weather is perfect for the reading, and since I
don't have much Marathon training as before, so I will
have more time for readings.

It had a big plan for the reading teh end of last year.
And I even made a lit of the books I wanted to read.
I finished half of the financial books, though some
of them are "hard" to read and understand, so I think
I might put it for the next a few years reading list.

I did complete a few books for the Marathon training.
Not sure whether they qualify as "Readings" for most
people. But I did improve my running for 45 seconds
per mile for my 10k running and half marathon running.
And I am ready for the 1st Marathon Race.

I ordered two books from amazon today. One is
The First Phone Call from Heaven: A Novel from Mitch Albom.
I started reading is books from Tuesday with Morrie.
Then I finished all his other books. Our whole family
like his books.

I ordered another book
David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants
from Malcolm Gladwell. He is my another favorite author.
He wrote a few best sellers like: Tipping Point, Outliers, etc.
And recently on the runner's magazine, there was an article
about him, he likes running as well(He likes running around
central park of NY). And he ran faster than the Canadian 1500
Champion when they were at the high school. Very interesting.
But he did not do much of the long running, like Marathon, yet.

Back to the topic of the interest rate, it will go no where,
similar to the us economy. Sometimes I do ask myself, what should
I do if the high unemployment rate, low growth will last for the
next 10 years. What's your opinion about it?
