The Power of Small(improvement)

September 3rd, 2012 11:02 AM by Eric Fang

About two years ago, I read the book: The Power
of Small. I plan to re-read it this year. Somtimes
the small difference will help your career development,
the business expansion, etc.

For the past a few years, I tried to improve my loan
process just "a little bit". I organize the files
so that I can find any info I need within 10 secs.
We have the system to get the loan submitted as
"clean" as possible. That's why my clients are
always amazed how fast close the loans.

Today, I finished another 10k race. And it's only
one minute faster than my personal record. But I am
still very happy about it since it can prove that
my training strategies works, and it also appears
that I can run faster even I am getting older.

This one minute improvement is nothing for most people,
but it will motivate the runners a lot.

I am still proud of myself that I can close 60% more
loans this year than last years after my average weekly mileage of
25 miles(I finished 9 miles Saturday, so it's over 15 miles
this weekend).

And It will be a great month. Is not it(with lower
rates, possible QE3, etc)?
