Why we need to listen to others first?

I do not know why I like to stay at the the cafe Friday nights or Sunday nights to read books or surf the Internet. It seems to me there is lots of fun.

We wished to be young again, unfortunately there is no time machine to change us back. Still it is very interesting to see the kids doing some "silly" things. Friday evening we saw some college kids played jenga blocks, I guess that it is their way of social. Tonight I saw two kids are playing mah-jong. I do not know whether they knew the rules(I am very good at the game), but they were practicing the game, and just two people were working on it(supposed to be played by 4).

I finished reading the book tonight: how to talk to anyone -- 92 little tricks for big success in relationships. I highly recommend this book to anyone. You will benefit from it one way or the other.

I could not agree more on the technique #86: empty their tanks. According to the author, you can not pump more gas into a full tank. Too much topping it off, and it slashes onto the cement. Likewise, your listener's brain is always full of his or her own thoughts, worries and enthusiasms. If you pump your ideas into your listener's brain, which is full of her own notions, you will get a polluted mixture, then a spill. If you want your supersupreme ideas to flow into her tank unpolluted, drain her tank completely first. Do you agree?

And now I will work on the next book: How to Instantly Connect with Anyone: 96 All-New Little Tricks for Big Success in Relationships. I hope this is going to be good as well.
