147 minutes vs 139 minutes -- is your red face worth it?

Every Sunday morning, I like to run around the city for 17 miles. If I run a
little bit faster, then it can take about 139 minutes, if I run a little bit slower, then
it takes about 147 minutes.  When I compared my experience with those runs,
I felt more pleasant when I run slowly, I could enjoy more about the surroundings,  I could watch the squirrels hopping around, or the coyotes staring me behind bushes with the green eyes(early mornings, like 5:30am). And the difference is only 8 minutes.

So how the hell could that be? That was a profound lesson that changed the way I've approached my life.

We could do the math, 94.5% of my huffing and puffing and all that red face and
that stress was only for an extra 8 minutes.  It was basically for nothing. So for life, I think of all of this maximization -- getting the maximum out of every minute, get the maximization of the investment -- you do not need to stress about that much. So I do things, but I stop before anything gets too stressful.

By the way, I finished today's running for 151 minutes, it is a little bit slower because of the wind. But I still enjoy it a lot after my approaches changed.
