I went to LA from Friday to Sunday for my daughter's college interview. And last Tuesday, we scheduled the loan sign off for my client Friday Feb 17th. To my surprise, the notary called before the sign off appointment that she could not sign off the loan docs any more because of the electricity outrage. But question to her, why? Why she did not print out the loan document anytime Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday?

We had to assign another notary to complete the sign off. The business is slow now, and  this notary lost one business opportunity because of her bad habit. Why wait until the last minute.  

Since last year, I decided to send my daughter to school 10 minutes earlier. We found that we could drive slowly because of the schedule change, and we do not have to worry about the train passing by during the morning traffic. And even at the school parking lot, there were not that much busy traffic at all. And then we changed our schedule to friends' parties as well. We go there on time(or 5 minutes earlier). And there is no others there, and we can talk a little bit more with friends, and we could provide help if needed.

The college application was finally done after the interview the past Saturday. I think my daughter should be able to get the acceptance. And to my surprise, one of the professors did ask the following question: what is the difference between running an half marathon and a full marathon. Very interesting.
